CES introduces unique BECSys5 upgrade program

Several weeks ago, we announced a terrific new trade-in program sponsored by CES and BECS technology. This limited time offer gives you up to $2000 trade-in on your existing CES Control system dating back to 1995. On the outside, the hardware changes are subtle. As the controller is the same basic size, with the same multi-line screen. Upon closer look, you see an all-new button arrangement that make it much easier to navigate and operate. The screen have to changed to a split-screen “smart menu” format which guides you on every phase of the programming and operation, as you are pressing the buttons. No more difficult menu trees, or hidden options...just select and go.

Some of the most popular major hardware changes include: digital flow sensing, direct PPM chlorine sensing, level sensing for (chlorine and pH) chemical inventories, a pump room expansion network that allows the BECSys5 to communicate with BECSys3’s, filter controllers, and expansion boxes for new features.

Flow Sensing: Already becoming among the most popular features, Digital Flow sensing allows you to continually monitor your precise circulation system flow, and to assign alarm set points to alert you or your operators that it is time to backwash filters or clean strainers. You can also disable chemical feed if the flow rate drops to a level below where we feel that chemical injection becomes unsafe.

Direct PPM: A great new feature...the optional PPM sensor, located next to the existing ORP and pH sensors, give you accurate and reliable direct PPM readings. You can then monitor not only the KILL POWER (ORP) of your pool/spa water, but the AMOUNT OF CHLORINE (in PPM) necessary to reach that point. What’s more, the system allows you to “bracket” the PPM and ORP reading so that you can override low PPM residuals even when your ORP is very high....and vice versa.

Level Sensing: A great add-on feature lets you know how much chlorine or acid you have in your storage containers, and lets you assign alarm points to help alert your operators that it’s time to fill the vats or call for chemical delivery.

Pump Room Network: The BECSys5 becomes the main hub in your pump room control package. You can now operate up to 10 controllers on a single phone line. You can also connect the BECSys5 to new BECSys3 controller (2 per each BECSys5) to provide a quick and affordable multi-pool control device. So you can keep track of your spa or wading pool interactively with a moderately priced package. You can connect to a BECSys BW filter controller, and monitor and/or control all major filter functions such as filter soiling, filter backwashing, strainer soiling, water level control, etc. You can also enjoy “plug and play” control of relay expansion boxes that allow up to nine additional control functions out of your BECSys5.

The innovation doesn’t stop there. The are many software improvements in the BECSys5, with many more in the short term planning schedule.
